Aaduri, a village teenage girl, doubts the only breadwinner of the family, her Mother, of having an affair. The Father has left the family long back. Recent shadow of doubt on Mother eats up her peace of mind and happiness, making the gap between Aaduri and her Mother wider with passing time. On the other hand, Grandma’s constant sickness seems like the ticking time bomb which keeps reminding Aaduri that all she has is her Mother. The more she tries to hold on to it, the more it slips aways from her. A chance meeeting with a stranger, Tapash, from Kolkata brings a ray of hope for Aaduri to escape this viscious circle. Over time Aaduri and Tapash grows fondness for each other and Aaduri becomes hopeful. Just when she imagines a new life for herself away from this madness, fate takes it’s same old turn and she is left where she has been always. This experience makes Aaduri realise that the only constant in her life has always been her Mother. Aaduri’s journey to hold on to her only lifeline, her Mother, thus begins. |
