But all kind of associations of death seems to pursue him, leaving him in a state of unrest. In spite of everything being set perfectly, there is something that is terribly lacking in his life. Numbness seems to have set in. Nothing affects him anymore, including the death of his closest friend. With a sense of fear lurking around, he drifts from his home to the marketplace to a highway and to a burning ghat. Finally he leaves the burning ghat with his dead friend’s wife and drifts along the riveron a boat holding her hand. She sings a song. Ashim feels happy. |
