Set against the backdrop of an upcoming Special Economic Zone in Telengana region of Andhra Pradesh, Penchilamma is the unheard voice of farmers across India. The film canvases the growing affection of Penchilamma towards Aparna, a ‘rational’ weather forecaster. On a rather sunny day, Penchilamma tells Aparna that it will rain but Aparna thinks otherwise. Beautiful clouds brings rain, Penchilamma wins. But she also loses the one thing which kept her alive. |
