Munni and Kalu, are a Santali couple. They fled from their village because of political turmoil and have now settled in the out skirts of Calcutta. For a living, Kalu drives a hired rickshaw. They are childless and the longing for a child and her home at the village has driven Munni to a state of delusion. She now imagines of having a child and that she is bringing the child up in the idyllic setting of her village. |
