This is a journey of two young men through the countryside of Bengal, precisely in the exotic soundscape and landscape of the district of Purulia. Soukhin, a bachelor in his mid-twenties, goes on a bike ride from his urban house to his village. Midway, he meets a middle-aged and apparently dutiful responsible office-goer, Mainak, who seeks a bike ride towards the same village because of a bus breakdown. Through Mainak is a very responsible and orderly person, a he becomes a bit adventurous as a result of a long conversation with Soukhin. On the other hand Soukhin, who lives an urban neo-bohemian life, starts thinking in a different way to be more organized and planned in future. |
