Kahon shot in the Sunderbans focuses on a pure world of innocence, in which only children seem to be able to connect with people from the old world, apparently vested with mystic powers. Young Kahon, whose father was a honey-gatherer tragically killed by man-eating tiger, believes his grandmother’s influence on the elements would be able to bring the father back to him. His dream is shattered when grandmother dies, but Kahon, now suddenly grown up, learns to rationalize the loss. |
