The story has two main tracks. One of them is about a young man, a shoplifter living on the fringes of society. In the other a young employed woman, returned to an empty flat every evening, to find that the tap is leaking and cockroaches are eating into her spare stock of provisions. The two characters routinely meet each other in a lift inside a multistoried building. ‘These characters belong to the same urban space, but the question is, do they know each other? The film is almost like a symphony, where no dialogues are required to express deep human emotions of emptiness, hurt, nonchalance and desire. It is about those moments when people do not talk, when they are alone in a crows. |
