Bhalo Thakar Abhinoy is a commentary on the society and its perception of taboos. It is a story about a young girl, Rhea and it follows her through a very complicated and tough period of her life as she navigates the nooks and crannies barely surviving and ultimately emerging as a better specimen of herself. It talks of loss of innocence and sexual coercion and how it affects the mind of a young adult. It also talks about a mother’s denial at seeing what is happening right in front of her just to fit into the society. In a broader aspect this film talks about the disintegration of relationships and in extension, society as a whole. |
