Organization Chart Description
The organization chart of the Satyajit Ray Film & Television Institute displays the hierarchical structure of the institute. The Institute is registered under the Society, which is headed by the Chairman. Under the Society is the Executive Council, headed by the Vice-Chancellor. The Dean (Films), Dean (EDM), and the Registrar report to the Vice-Chancellor.
There are five sections under the Registrar: the Purchase Section, IT Section, Maintenance Section, Accounts Section, and Admin Section, headed by the Senior Manager (M&R), Senior Manager (IT), Maintenance Engineer, Chief Accounts Officer, and Administrative Officer, respectively.
Similarly, the Dean (Films) oversees six academic departments—Cinematography, Direction & Screenplay Writing, Editing, Sound Recording & Design, Producing for Film & Television, and Animation Cinema—each headed by a Professor.
The Dean (EDM) also oversees six departments: Direction & Producing for EDM, Writing for EDM, Editing for EDM, EDM Management, Cinematography for EDM, and Sound for EDM, headed by the respective professors. There are also wings, such as the Tutorial, Library, and Research sections, which fall under the Dean (Films).
