The Satyajit Ray Film & Television Institute (SRFTI) invites proposals from its alumni and faculty members for the commissioning of Feature Films and Short/Non-Feature Films under the DCDFC Fund.
The initiative aims to support original, artistically driven, socially and culturally relevant cinematic projects aligned with themes such as National Integration & Harmony, Inspirational narratives, Spirituality, and Unity.
Eligibility
Applications are open to:
Indian citizens who are graduates of SRFTI Film Wing (11th–17th batch) or EDM Wing (1st–5th batch)
Regular faculty members of SRFTI and FTII Itanagar
Contractual faculty members with at least one year of service at SRFTI
The applicant must be the Director of the project.
At least five Heads of Department (HoDs) and 50% of the crew members must be SRFTI alumni from the eligible batches, unless exempted with prior approval.
Project Categories & Funding
Feature Films – Funding up to ₹1 crore per project
Minimum duration: 72 minutes
Short/Non-Feature Films – Funding up to ₹20 lakhs per project
Duration: up to 72 minutes
Films may be produced in any Indian language or English, with subtitles wherever required.

Feature Films: Completion within 6 months
Short/Non-Feature Films: Completion within 3 months
