Student Grievance Redressal Committee
In compliance with the provisions of the UGC (Redressal of Grievances of Students) Regulations, 2023 and with the
approval of the Competent Authority, and in supersession of all earlier orders issued in this regard, the Students
Grievance Redressal Committee (SGRC) is hereby constituted for Satyajit Ray Film & Television Institute (SRFTI)
for redressal of grievances of the students of the Institute.
The Committee shall discharge its functions strictly in accordance with the UGC Regulations, 2023 and other instructions/guidelines issued by the University Grants Commission or Government of India from time to time.

Tenure
The Chairperson and Members shall hold office for a period of two (2) years from the date of issue of this Order.Quorum
The Student Representative (Special Invitee) shall hold office for a period of one (1) year. The quorum for meetings of the SGRC shall be three (3) members, including the Chairperson and excluding the Special Invitee.The Committee shall discharge its functions strictly in accordance with the UGC Regulations, 2023 and other instructions/guidelines issued by the University Grants Commission or Government of India from time to time.
Ombudsperson of this committee
Ombudsperson - Prof. (Dr.) Ranjan Chakrabarti (Former Vice-Chancellor, Vidyasagar University, West Bengal)Any student if aggrieved by the decision of the Students’ Grievance Redressal Committee may prefer an appeal to the ombudsperson.
