Satyajit Ray Film & Television Institute (SRFTI) is happy to announce that its short film “Kuhase Ke Geet (Songs of the Mist)” has been honoured with the Special Jury Award in the Indian Short Film category at the Kolkata International Film Festival (KIFF) 2025. This recognition marks another milestone for SRFTI, reinforcing the institute’s reputation for delivering world‑class cinematic training that empowers students to shine on the international stage.
The award celebrates the collective brilliance of a talented team: Writer‑director Ravi Kumar, cinematographer Nishanth Venkataravanappa, editor Madhan Kamaraj, sound designer Rushikesh Charjan, and producer Umang Ratilal Sangani. Their dedication turned a campus project into a film that resonated with judges and audiences alike, demonstrating how mentorship, creativity, and technical skill can converge to create impactful cinema.
