The Satyajit Ray Film & Television Institute (SRFTI) continues to create meaningful opportunities for emerging filmmakers through its partnership with the SCREEN Academy, a pioneering not-for-profit initiative by The Indian Express Group. As part of this collaboration, SRFTI’s postgraduate fellows recently attended an inspiring masterclass in Mumbai led by acclaimed industry professional Ms. Maxima Basu, designed to empower the next generation of cinema professionals.
Representing the 22nd Batch (Film Wing), Aswin Sunil from Cinematography, Saikat Patra from Direction & Screenplay Writing, and Srestha Majumder from Animation Cinema participated in this enriching learning experience. Sponsored by the SCREEN Academy, the fellows engaged in insightful discussions, gained valuable industry perspectives, and explored the creative and professional dimensions of contemporary filmmaking.
