SRFTI Alumna Tribeny Rai Wins Golden Royal Bengal Tiger Award at KIFF 2025

Satyajit Ray Film & Television Institute (SRFTI) is excited to announce that Tribeny Rai, an alumna of the Direction & Screenplay Writing department, has won the prestigious Golden Royal Bengal Tiger Award at the Kolkata International Film Festival (KIFF) 2025! Her debut Nepali feature film, ‘Shape of Momo’, has bagged the Best Film award in the Indian Languages Competition category, making us all incredibly proud.

Tribeny graduated from SRFTI, Kolkata, in 2015, and her achievement is a testament to the institute’s commitment to nurturing creative talent. Her win is a shining example of the exceptional storytelling and filmmaking skills that SRFTI imparts to its students. We are beaming with pride; Tribeny Rai’s achievement is a reflection of her hard work and dedication to her craft. We are glad to have such an alumna as part of the SRFTI family.
