The Electronic and Digital Media program at Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute is the only course in India that caters to both classical Television and emerging OTT platforms. With the current growth rate, the Media and Entertainment sector in India is expected to reach INR 2.32 trillion by 2024. The Media and Entertainment Industry comprises Television, Digital Media, Cinema, Music, Radio, Live Events, Print, Outdoor Advertising, Online Gaming, Animation and VFX. Television and OTT production was the largest contributor in 2021.
Consumers and businesses demand innovative experiences and expect media and entertainment companies to deliver them. At the Electronic and Digital Media wing of the Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute, there is a fully equipped air conditioned studio with Non-Fiction and Fiction programme producing capabilities that form the backbone of the two year Post Graduate Diploma programme.

The three technology dependent courses, viz Cinematography, Sound and Editing courses will have a flexible structure to include the latest trends and technology without compromising on quality.
