An artist by heart and a graduate of Calcutta University, he worked as a theater professional in ‘Anya Theater’ for 12 years headed by Shri Bibhash Chakraborty. During the span of time<br>worked as production designer for several group theaters. He also worked as an assistant/anchor with Doordarshan Kolkata and All India Radio. He acted in several Bengali feature films and TV series as well as performed as a playback singer in more than ten Bengali feature films . He also looked after the production of the Bengali feature film ‘Megher Meye’ directed by Pallab Kirtaniya.
He is looking after the production activities of students short films and diploma film projects at the institution.
