Biraja Prasanna Kar

Graduated in cinema with a specialization in Cinematography, from the Film and Television Institute of Odisha, Cuttack in 1997, shri Kar has chosen to work in Kolkata for its rich heritage of film-making, since the city harbours the first film theatre of India.

Entered into the Indian cinema industry he worked as a Director of Photography for Odia, Bengali, Telugu and Hindi cinemas since 1997 till date creating enriching visuals for feature films, Advt TVCs, Short films and Documentary films, . Also he has chosen to share his cinematic knowledge to youngsters through academics. He had been involved with many Institutes of repute, such as Roop Kala Kendro, Kolkata, Film and Television Institute of Odisha, Cuttack, Utkal University of Culture, Bhubaneswar, Indian Institute of Mass Communication, Dhenkanal, Brainware University, Kolkata .

His films have been showcased in various parts of the globe in different film festivals and received lots of accolades and laurels.
