SRFTI’s ‘Nipaniya (Dropless)’ Shines at Red Sea International Film Festival 2025

Satyajit Ray Film & Television Institute (SRFTI) is thrilled to announce that its short film ‘Nipaniya (Dropless)’ has been selected for the 5th Red Sea International Film Festival 2025, in the International Shorts Competition! This prestigious recognition marks a significant milestone for SRFTI, as ‘Nipaniya (Dropless)’ is the only Indian film to compete in the International Shorts Competition category.

The film, created by a talented team of SRFTI students, showcases the institute’s commitment to nurturing creative talent and promoting innovation in filmmaking. The team behind ‘Nipaniya (Dropless)’ includes Anamika Pal (Writer & Director), Disha Sharma (Director of Photography), Rani Bed Banshi (Editor), Abhishek Mishra (Sound), and Gauri Maheshram (Producer).

SRFTI is overjoyed to see ‘Nipaniya (Dropless)’ recognised on a global platform. This achievement is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our students and faculty, and we are proud to be part of this journey.
