Dr. Supriya Chaudhuri is Professor (Emerita) in the Department of English, Jadavpur University, Calcutta. Her research interests include many areas of literary and cultural history. She has published several essays on the cinema of Satyajit Ray, including a chapter in Moinak Biswas’s edited collection, Apu and After: Revisiting Ray’s Cinema (2006).
Anindya Sengupta, Assistant Professor

Shaji Neelakantan Karun
Shaji Neelakantan Karun is a National Award-winning Indian film director and cinematographer. His debut film Piravi (1988) won the Caméra d’Or – Mention d’honneur at the 1989 Cannes Film Festival. He was the Premiere Chairman of the Kerala State Chalachitra Academy and was also the Executive Chairman of International Film Festival of Kerala from 1998 to 2001. He is best known for his award winning films Piravi (1989), Vanaprastham (1999) andKutty Srank (2009).
Kamaleshwar Mukherjee is a Begali film maker, physician by training moved on initially to the profession of advertisement making and then film making. He is the author of the film Natobor Notout’ and directed ‘Uro Chithi’, ‘Meghe Dhaka Tara’, ‘Chander Pahar’, He is awarded Centenary Award at IFFI 2013, Silver Crow Pheasant Award for the Best Director at International Film Festival of Kerala , 2013) and NETPAC Award for his film Meghe Dhaka Tara.

Shanker Raman is an award winning cinematographer having worked professionally over the last 15 years on several documentaries, shorts, feature films and TV commercials. After completing his bachelor’s in Physics he went on to major in Cinematography from the Film and TV Institute of India, Pune. He is the writer, Executive Producer and Associate Director of the film ‘Frozen’ and the producer of the film ‘Harud’.
Suresh Jindal is the producer of several films including ‘Shatranj ke khilari’ directed by Satyajit Ray. Apart from the films like ‘Rajnigandha’, ‘Gandhi’, ‘Katha’ etc., he has also produced number of documentaries for television.
